The La Fourche Lake Property is located in the Frotet-Evans greenstone belt, 110 km North of the town of Chibougamau.

The Property consists of 37 claims, covering 2010 hectares on NTS 32J/16. A gravel road comes to within 1.5 km of the Property and the Troilus mine power line runs across the Property. The Property is located 12 km SSW of the Troilus mine (49.5Mt @1.24g/t/Au*). The level of exploration work is low.

The Property is underlain by a thick NE-SW trending sequence of mafic volcanics, intruded by minor gabbroic units. The Property hosts the Icon gold showing, discovered in 1964 by the Icon Syndicate. The showing is covered by the waters of La Fourche Lake, near its northern shore. It was tested by 4 Winkie drill holes over a length of 300 m. The drilling reported grades of 10.1 g/t/0.61 m, 7.4 g/t/0.43 m, 10.3 g/t/0.30 m and various other short intersections between 1.5 and 8.6 g/t/Au. The showing is hosted in a series of parallel shear zones, intruded by quartz veins and veinlets of pyrrhotite and pyrite at a gabbro-mafic volcanics contact.

In 1973, Selco investigated several conductors while testing an early airborne EM system for VMS style mineralization. They drilled one hole in the presumed extension of the Icon showing (1.2 km East of the showing) and intersected 2 lamprophyre dykes and a gold anomaly of 700ppb/Au/0.46 m. Other isolated Winkie holes were drilled elsewhere on the property and cut mineralization similar to the Icon showing, but they were not assayed.

In 1993, Corporation Metall (Inmet) drilled 2 holes from the shore of La Fourche Lake to confirm the presence of the Icon showing (without geophysics). Grades of 1.06 g/t/Au over 8.23 m were reported and the structure was extended to a total of over 500 m.

The Icon showing shows a good response on a 1983 Quebec Government INPUT airborne survey. An in-house re-interpretation of the survey shows 2 more clusters of anomalies (respectively 2 and 3 km SW of the Icon showing) along the same gabbro-volcanics contact that has never been investigated.

No work has been done on the Property since 1993.
